
Description
He is very independent, gregarious and kind and but can present challenging behaviour at times.
The role primarily involves providing companionship - for example: playing board games, helping with physiotherapy exercises (including swimming), taking him to the gym or mosque, working with him in his garden.
Whilst a qualification in health and social care, and past experience working with someone with a brain injury or learning difficulties would also be a distinct advantage, these are not essential; your motivation, personality and willingness to learn are more important.
The ideal candidate must be caring, reliable, encouraging, patient, observant, dependable and adaptable.
As of the time of writing, several 4-hour shifts have yet to be filled.
Pay will be between £15-20 per hour, depending on experience.
You must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to work on a self-employed basis, and therefore must have a valid UTR number.
Appointments are subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check (which we will pay for).
